Love golf? Then now is the time to become a member of the county’s premier support and stewardship organization, the Friends of Westchester County Parks, because for the first time, Friends is giving away free “buckets of balls” as incentives to join or renew a “Friendship” under a new Golf Friend level. Anyone who becomes a Friend or renews at the new $25 per year Golf Friend level will receive three coupons for a bucket of balls, which are honored any time during the 2010 season at the driving ranges at the county’s Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers or Mohansic Golf Course in Yorktown Heights. New or renewal Friends at this level also receive a Friends t-shirt. Other annual Friends membership levels range from $20 (Senior Friend) to $5,000 (Best Friend) and come with benefits including discounts on county-sponsored activities, from event tickets and free-parking passes to Playland, golf outings and more, depending on level. No matter which level you choose, you will be united with an organization of people who are interested in making a difference in the future of the parks. The Friends website also describes other ways to get involved with the organization through Tree Trust and Memorial Bench gifts, endowments, bequests, planned giving and more. The Friends of Westchester County Parks is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for the Westchester County Parks. |
