Pennies for Parks

Everybody needs friends and Westchester's parks are no exception. This summer, the Friends of Parks is introducing a new Pennies for Parks campaign to help keep our parks clean, green and growing.

Specially designed cans and canisters will be distributed in the parks and other locations throughout the county to raise money for those projects that make Westchester's parks so special.  Every penny counts as the Friends' Board has set a goal of $1 million to be raised over the next 12 months.

Kensico Dam Plaza Enhancement Fund

The Kensico Dam Enhancement Fund will help support the replacement of the 80- year-old trees that line the walkways and are in poor health and other park improvements. An endowment fund will be established to ensure the ongoing enhancement of the park.
